Decades of research confirm the benefits of family involvement, including:
● Improved test scores and grades,
● Increased attendance and graduation rates, and
● Better social skills.
Family
involvement is the key to achievement for all children! The theme will
be “Increase Student Performance by Strengthening Family & School
Relationships." Participants will learn about and dialogue on key
parent involvement topics:
● The fundamentals and benefits of effective parent involvement
- How to make families feel welcome, valued, and engaged
● Strategies for effective parent-school communication
- How to connect with parents limited by language, work schedules, technology, etc.
● Education resources for parents
- Visit on-site with community agencies to learn how they can help your school’s families
Participants
will leave with strategies and resources to improve their students’
academic achievement through increased family involvement.
