Learning Styles in the Classroom

What's Your Style?

Knowing the learning styles and personality types of your students is an excellent way to gather information in order to differentiate and prepare for instruction.

There are several online assessments and inventories that can assist in this process. One that we find useful is a Learning Styles Inventory that provides not only an inventory that students can complete but learning strategies as well as teaching strategies for each learning style. Another online assessment is based on Howard Gardner's theory on Multiple Intelligences. Click here to complete the MI online survey. Another assesment determines personality style. Kingdomality shows what role you would have played in a medieval kingdom. This is more appropriate for high school learners.
